Who We Are

Judy Bishop ~ Owner, Bishop & Company
Judy acquired the assets of CTA Staffing, the company for which she was General Manager here in Hawaii for the last 5 years. In addition, Judy has over thirty years of staffing experience. She has managed local, national and international offices on four continents. As a Franchise Owner, Regional Vice- President, Division Vice- President, National Sales Manager, and COO for Operations, she has an extensive background servicing major corporations over a broad spectrum of skill requirements. Judy is responsible for clients' complete satisfaction with the service provided. Ms. Bishop is fully involved in the day to day operation of Bishop & Company.

Debi Merwick ~ VP of Finance, Technical Recruitment
Debi manages Bishop & Company's IT Recruitment Division. She is also responsible for benefit administration, accounting, and all client management reporting. She is the contact person for any internal technology issues, and serves as Bishop & Company's Facility Security Officer, FSO. Debi has a Bachelors degree in Business Administration, a Masters degree in Information Systems (MSIS) and holds an active Professional Human Resources (PHR) certification. She is a member of the Hawaii Chapter of the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM), the Metropolitan Honolulu Rotary Club, the American Payroll Association (APA), the Hawaii Compensation Group (HICOMP) and the Association of IT Professionals (AITP).

Tahnee Sales, PHR~ Senior Recruiter/Service Manager
Tahnee manages the recruiting for all of Bishop & Company's major clients in various industries ranging from medical, financial, hospitality and tourism, to not-for-profit and government. She has developed many loyal customers due to her expertise and dedication in understanding customer needs and sourcing qualified temporary and direct hire staff, as well as her knowledge and achievements in executive searches. Tahnee has an Associates Degree in Travel & Tourism, and plans to pursue her Bachelors in Human Resources Management. She has been with Bishop & Company since 2003, holds a PHR designation, and is an active member of the Society for Human Resources Managers (SHRM), YBC, YWCA, Toastmasters International and Rotary. Tahnee also manages the day-to-day client service delivery of other Staffing Specialists. Business Development, Sales & Marketing are also areas where Tahnee makes a significant contribution to the overall growth of Bishop & Company. Tahnee truly delivers for her clients, the temporary employees she supervises, and all candidates seeking new employment opportunities.

Annette Waiau ~ Staffing/Payroll Assistant
Annette brings over 10 years of business ownership, customer service, administrative, and accounting experience to Bishop & Company. This experience provides her with exceptional knowledge, enabling her to better assist our clients and candidates in their search for great talent, or great job opportunities. Having volunteered with several organizations, such as Friends of Foster Kids, Susan Komen Race for the Cure, MDA, and having worked with autistic children, has furthered her expertise in dealing with people from all walks of life, which in turn enhances her delivery of exceptional personal and professional service. Annette is responsible primarily for Bishop & Company's weekly payroll and billing as well as medical insurance administration and billing reconciliation. In addition, she is in charge of all event planning, such as job fairs.

Zehra Zaidi~ Technical Recruiter
Zehra is an IT/Technical Recruiter with several years of recruiting experience, specializing in Internet and database searches to source quality candidates with unique, specific IT skills. She recruits top notch professionals to meet the high standards of our IT clients. Zehra possesses excellent knowledge of the recruiting process, including interviewing, reference checking, background and education verification, and salary negotiations. She communicates effectively with candidates and clients to ensure good matches, which reap long term benefits for both parties. In addition, Zehra serves as Bishop & Company's social media expert, and Tweets daily on our behalf to enhance our recruiting and business development efforts. Her social media networking attracts an unique pool of candidates to our firm. Prior to her work in the recruiting industry, Zehra was a professional/technical writer, editor, and SEO and instructional designer.

Sarah Scanlan~ Staffing Specialist
Sarah earned her Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Human Resource Management from the University of Hawaii at Manoa in 2008, and is currently enrolled in SHRM courses with a view to pursue her  PHR certification.  Since graduating from college, Sarah has taken a strong interest in recruitment and the various processes involved with staffing.  In the earlier part of Sarah's career in HR, she was involved in collaborating with Researchers, Principal Investigators, and other professionals in order to draft job descriptions for various Federally-funded positions.  Also, Sarah has facilitated company-wide new hire orientations, new hire processing, and benefits administration.  And since joining Bishop & Company in January of 2010, Sarah has been responsible for high volume recruiting, screening, interviewing, and placement of qualified candidates in various positions with our clients in many varied industries.  Sarah also facilitates outsourced recruitment services for several clients.
